  1. Stuffed Cookies: The Nutella, Sea Salt & Browned Butter Kind

    February 12, 2013 by Holly

Oy, I can't believe it's been so long since I've put up a post. I take pictures of pretty much EVERYTHING I bake & then my poor phone has to lug them around until I manage to get to them. Sorry iPhone, I'll be kinder in this new year, I promise. So, something you may not know about me is that I am UBER competitive. I've played soccer all my life and it may be the one place you'll ever see me be a complete wench. Seriously. I am terrified of confrontation in real life, but get me on the soccer Read more [...]

  2. Pumpkin Snickerdoodles: All in the Name of Friendsgiving

    November 20, 2012 by Holly

All hail the weekend before Thanksgiving! Dare I say it is ALMOST as wonderful as Thanksgiving itself? No, that's blasphemy. But in all fairness, it is pretty awesome. It is the perfect excuse/time to try out your new Turkey Day recipes before the big day without fear of  totally flopping and having to buy something from the store at the last minute. STORE bought pumpkin pie? Cookies? Stuffing? Well I never... In light of the upcoming holiday, I was dying for a reason to make something pumpkiny. Read more [...]

  4. Frozen PB Chocolate Banana Bites

    July 31, 2012 by Holly

I know I've told you about my addiction to Pinterest before. Well today, we're going to talk about my older sister's unhealthy obsession with Pinterest. Okay, not really, but I think it's safe to say that Pinterest comes up in conversation nearly every time we see each other. Did you see my pin? Did you try that recipe? Did you see that I repinned the pin you repinned from so and so? It goes on and on. We're enthralling, I know. BUT with this unhealthy obsession, we've definitely come across some Read more [...]

  5. ‘One of Those Days’ Rum Cake

    July 30, 2012 by Holly

Back in March (yes March, I’m clearly behind) I went on a cruise with my loved ones to the Virgin Islands. It. Was. Glorious. I dieted and worked my butt off so I could be all fit and tan (for fear of picture documentation of my sweets addiction). So when I went on vacay, I felt TOTALLY justified in eating everything and anything I could get my hands on. Cruise ship food, island food, desserts, ice cream, you name it, I probably ate it. That being said, when you get off the ship on any Island in Read more [...]

  6. Peanut Butter Choconut Bars

    July 26, 2012 by Holly

Any baking addict, by nature, is also a Pinterest addict. They go hand in hand. I’ve never found a website that can literally envelop hours of my life and never lose my attention. I rarely come across a recipe I don’t like and Pinterest might as well be my baking kryptonite. Whenever I get on the site, I usually walk away with at least a dozen recipes I HAVE to make.  I swear, all this working out I'm doing is immediately ruined as soon as I get on Pinterest. (Sugar is the achilles heel of my Read more [...]

  7. Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal-to-Go

    July 24, 2012 by Holly

If you haven’t figured it out yet, I love peanut butter. I am constantly finding ridiculous reasons to indulge in it. Oh I haven’t had enough protein today? I need peanut butter. I’m depressed. Peanut butter will make it better. The dog looks hungry. I better give her a spoonful of peanut butter.  Man I got WAY too much, I’ll just take a little off the top and give her the rest. (And these are some of the mild excuses). Just a few weekends ago, I found myself hauled up on the couch with Read more [...]

  8. Boyfriend Turtle Cheescake

    July 23, 2012 by Holly

Once upon a time there was a boy who only ate healthy. He loved lean meats and pretzels. One day, he met the fairest ( 😉 ) maiden in the land. A baking/sweets addict, she wasn’t the type he’d usually go for, but alas, he fell madly in love with her. Their romance thrived, even though she had no taste for meats and he repelled any sweets she threw his way. Still somehow, their love overcame the constant struggle of their taste buds. Okay, okay, I’m being dramatic, but I sure do love fairytales Read more [...]

  9. Low-Fat Lemon Zucchini Bread

    February 14, 2012 by Holly

I have a picky eater in my household. He's 26-going-on-27 and he refuses to eat my baked goods. (I know, he could be a REAL picky eater and not want to eat ANYTHING, but I bake and I bake A LOT, so to me this is an annoying problem). I love baking and to be honest I think everything I make is fabulous. I am biased of course, so sometimes it's hard to know how things actually turn out if he refuses to try them. So I've started to healthy bake. I KNOW, I KNOW, it feels like I'm breaking the cardinal Read more [...]

  10. Cinnamon Toast Cupcakes

    February 14, 2012 by Holly

I have a confession: I'm obsessed with Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I love everything about it: the sweetness, the crunch and even the half-soggy, half-crunchy taste you get after it's been sitting in milk. So it's no surprise when I came across this recipe I HAD to try it. I must admit that I was a tad weary of the recipe at first. How is it even possible to recreate the perfection that is Cinnamon Toast Crunch? BUT I was pleasantly surprised with the results. Ingredients: Cinnamon Cake: 3 eggs 1/3 Read more [...]
